Keravision Files for Bankruptcy

KeraVision Inc. announced March 26 that it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

In its filing papers, the company claimed an inability to obtain sufficient financing and the large capital expenditures required
to develop its business as reasons it was no longer able to operate. The
company also stated that it would file a motion to sell its inventory,
equipment, and intellectual property to the highest bidder; it expects to
complete a sale in the next 2 months.
