Why Are My Lashes Scratching Against My Eye?

A common condition called entropion usually occurs as a result of aging. The eyelid rotates inward, and an entire row of eyelashes can wind up scraping the surface of the eye. The cornea can get scratched and cause a serious infection if this condition isn’t treated.
An ophthalmologist is the only one who can treat this condition. Treatment options include an electrolysis-type procedure that will get the eyelashes out of the way, in-office minor surgery that will rotate the lashes back out, or he or she may make a little tuck to the eyelid to solve the problem.
Avoid any temptation to pluck the lashes that are in the way, because the stub that will later grow in will be an even more serious irritant
