RGP´s - Hard Contact Lenses

Rigid gas permeable(RGP)contact lenses are today´s most technologically advanced hard contact lenses. They offer crystal clear vision without hard lens discomfort.

Twenty years ago hard lenses were made out of different materials than RGP´s. The new RGP´s are made with silicon and flourine which gives them flexibility. Also, RGP´s allow more oxygen to pass to the eye which allows the eyes to breathe. Generally speaking, RGP´s are easier to maintain than soft lenses. The materials that comprise RGP´s do not tend to attract proteins and other deposits like soft lenses.RGP´s are a durable, economical choice for vision correction. And, RGP´s are custom fit to the natural shape of the eye so they are an excellent solution to special eye needs.
