Nonprescription Sunglasses Protect From Solar Hazards

Pilots, lifeguards, gardeners, surfers, golfers – any one who works or plays outdoors and at low risk for eye injuries – can now purchase nonprescription sunglasses with high ultraviolet light protection. Even if your job or favorite recreational activity doesn’t demand safety eyewear, you still need UV protection. You should wear protective sunglasses if you spend more than six hours a day in sunlight, have a UV filled environment (arc welding or graphic arts), use photosensitizing drugs, have cataracts or have had cataracts removed, have pinguecula or ptergium (sun-related growths on the cornea), and/or have retinal disorders. Lenses should offer 99 per cent protection from UV rays and be strong enough to hold up in contact sports and light impact. Picture Material: KGS e.V in Germany
