OUCH!!!! There Is Something In My Eye!

To Rub Or Not To Rub - That Is The Question

What do you do when something is in your eye? The immediate reaction is to rub your eye. Studies have shown that rubbing, when there is a particle or object lodged in the eye, can be very dangerous. This could lead to the particle becoming seriously embedded in your eye.

If something gets into your eye try these simple techniques:

1. Blink quickly to dislodge the particle

2.Place a cotton ball or cloth close to the eye ball while pulling the eyelid down. The particle should stick.

3.Flush the eye out with water

If this doesn’t work then call your doctor but please don’t rub!
